“Alfred’s?” His voice breaks a little on the name. “Totally not. It’s absolutely not about his thing. Haha.”

[Wait why am I lying?]

DRAMA - (Sire, I’m always in favor of lying for no reason but I’m afraid this just looks very silly.)

HALF LIGHT - (You’re clearly nervous. He can smell it on you.)

SUGGESTION - (Play it off as a joke, just run with it.)

COMPOSURE - (That’s even more awkward.)

“Yeah, okay. It’s for the ball. Kim, I don’t think I’ve ever been to a ball before? What do people even wear to balls?”

He glances at his watch, his head slightly tilted to the side. He's trying to hide a smirk on his face.

"Formal attire, usually. Something fancy to fit in with the other guests...though, I haven't ever been to a ball of this sort of caliber before."

He's never been to a ball ball, one where you get dressed in proper attire and consort with others while being served hors d'oeuvres. Instead, he has a recollection of an evening spent in a crumbling, half-maintained ballroom, the stench of sweat clinging to his nose, iridescent disco lights illuminating the pre-revolutionary molding, and glitter. Lots of glitter. Kim stood on the edge of the ballroom for a long time before a drag queen wearing a blue, frilly dress attempted to coax him out from the shadows and onto the dance floor.

He had fun. It was a nice memory, overall. But it gives him little impression of what to work from, here. He takes a small step back, gauging Harry's current outfit. What is he wearing, if anything?

"You'll be fine, so long as you wear something that you like--and is appropriate for the occasion. You've always had a...unique sense of style."

Looks like he'll need a little convincing before agreeing to be Harry's style buddy.
