- Woke up in the tunnels alongside her upon arrival. Intimidating woman. Cast out into the "Downside", a purgatory into which citizens are cast out for crimes against the Commonwealth. Used to lead a group of soldiers, thus the title.

- Cannot read or write. Can sew and alter clothes. Currently works with children at an orphanage.

- Charming, polite young man with blond hair. Helped escort me to the local corner store in my efforts to obtain medicine to deal with the strange flower disease plaguing the peninsula.

- I bit his fingers off in a monstrous hunger. I feel unwell and mortified, and terrified about my own state of mind. Need to follow up regarding the incident to ensure all is well.

"Narumi" (loyaulte)

- Serious, reserved, surprisingly youthful. Also a troll. Current head inspector of the Narumi Detective Agency, in which he took on the name and mantle "Narumi". Unsure of his previous name. Despite his age, he seems rather mature. Seems to be from a sort of monarchy. A military man.

Lusamine (ibalsamina)

- Helped find glasses after incident. Has a large, cartoonishly pink bear companion. Pleasant enough.

Trapper [John?] (numberonescamp)

- Pleasant conversationalist. Likely thinks of himself to be rather funny. Showed him Revachol via an electronic simulation.

"Hawkeye" [Captain B.F. Pierce, M.D.] (getmeoutofthedraft)

- Doctor, skeleton. Got a glimpse of his former human appearance due to a strange set of circumstances that created doubles of many people. Also likely thinks of himself as a jokester. Despite this, has rather professional conduct when it comes to medicine. Knows a few things about Christianity. (Shares a world with others here?)

- Fanged gentleman--vampire? Holds himself in a respectable, authoritative manner. Frequents the 38-8 apartments with some regularity, but does not live there. Brusque, speaks in a pointed manner. Strangely, no notable accent.

- Bear-ish youth. Possible delinquent. Kind enough to direct me to a thrift store to purchase a winter coat upon arrival in December weather. Later discussed cars and street racing on the network.

- Stubborn, well-toned, extremely tall. Terrifying eyes. After he refused initial assistance, I helped back to his lodgings while Ryslig was plagued with a mysterious, airborne flower disease.

- A priest of the Catholic church, from a place called Missouri. Rather scattered, seemed nervous while speaking to me. Understandable, given that I had just intruded on what seemed to be a personal electronic simulation.

- Prism-like golden floating object with eyes. No hands. (Sincerely, what the hell???) Accompanied by a white wolf-like monster. Informed me of the situation regarding monsters.

- Woke up in the same trash-filled tunnels. An dry, sarcastic teenager with a sense of style. Unsure where she is from--seems to be familiar with a different world entirely.

Cassandra (feudalladyshandmaid)

- Approached upon arrival. Very tall bear. Offered a blanket and discussed an organization called "The Lighthouse". Owner of a private investigation agency called "Juno Steel Investigations". (Who is Juno Steel?)

Alex {???} (bollinger)

- Approached me after leaving the hive. Necrotic, corpse-like features on and around chest area. Lent me a scarf. Discussed the circumstances of the new isola I've found myself on. Sorry--that we've found ourselves on.

Niina Yamada (northeworld)

- A slightly unnerving young teenager with mechanical qualities. Spoke on her own arrival experience and how she was nearly trampled by a moose. Describe aspects of the "Fog God", how she became stronger as a result of these monstrous changes. Does not see this experience as negative.

Dr. Gabriel Morgenstern (boneshears)

- Manticore(?), with impressive blue wings. Offered me a sweater. Doctor of medicine, but works as a coroner. Similar to a lazareth? Strikes me as a rather strict, regimented individual.

- Extremely lax and youthful attitude. Can produce sparks and flame from his fingertips.

- Seems like a teenager or young adult. Lent me a scarf. Used to be a plant (????)
